DIRECTORS of the Port Authority of Split Vice Mihanović and the Sveti Jeronim Airport Josip Čorić presented the project of the Resnik-Divulje Maritime Passenger Terminal, which will enable passengers to be taken by boat to the islands or to Split after leaving the plane.
The 3.4 million euro project will establish a modern and efficient connection between Split Airport and the coastal and island parts of Dalmatia.
Fast boats will transport passengers from the airport to Brač, Hvar, Šolta, Vis, Korčula and the Split city port. Shuttle buses will transport passengers from the airport to the pier in Resnik, which is about 800 meters away.

Starting from 30 April 2026, United Airlines will introduce direct flights between Newark (New York) and Split, marking the first-ever direct air connection between Split and the United States.
The service will operate three times a week, making United Airlines the only carrier linking the US and Croatia next summer.
The route will be served by a Boeing 767-300ER, one of the airline’s wide-body aircraft, which will also become the first regular wide-body jet to operate from Split Airport.
Flights will depart Split Airport at 10 a.m., arriving in New York at 2 p.m. local time. Departures from Newark are scheduled for 5 p.m., landing in Split the following morning just before 8 a.m.
The new service is expected to operate until early September 2026. Ticket prices have yet to be announced.

Croatia’s national carrier, Croatia Airlines, has announced a notable increase in flights and seat capacity in its upcoming 2025/2026 winter schedule, continuing its role as a vital link between Croatia and the rest of Europe throughout the year.
Running from 26 October 2025 to 28 March 2026, the new winter timetable includes a 7.7% increase in total flights, with 9,811 flights planned and over 1.18 million seats available – a 21% rise in capacity compared to the previous winter.

„Croatia has reported a promising start to the 2025 tourist season, with data from the eVisitor system showing a 4 percent increase in both arrivals and overnight stays in the first six months of the year compared to the same period in 2024. Between January and June, Croatia recorded 7.5 million tourist arrivals and 29.3 million overnight stays. Coastal regions contributed the most, with the Adriatic coast accounting for 27 million overnight stays, a 4 percent rise.”
